G Gathering A historic community reunion day in Bells Mill

A historic community reunion day in Bells Mill

Community Reunion Day is celebrated each year with a barbeque gathering of family and friends of the historic but still growing Bells Mill area in Great Bridge. The saw mill provided opportunities of employment, as the community started out in three churches: Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ and Lee's Chapel African Methodist Episcopal, where the reunion was held.

For 16 years, Pastor Horace B. Cross and wife Mariea have served at Lee's Chapel AME.
